Excellent. I am reminded immediately of all the hunters, sportsmen, farmers, and others in my youth who I associated with conservation before the narratives were hijacked and hyper-politicized. It's clear the real work is going to be spearheaded by the ACC.

This is not only important, but necessary. These issues are real and tangible and conservatives need to spend some of their bandwidth on carrying for these issues. And finding actual solutions that are more than politics. I am so for this!!

I'm super excited about conservatives getting involved and active in their community. I'm coordinator for the Temecula Valley Native Plant Network. We are non-partisan and open to everyone. It's exciting to have different opinions and perspectives!

As a Board member for the Friends of Sagamore Hill, the home of Theodore Roosevelt in Oyster Bay, NY, I am happy to see TR's legacy continue to be discussed and inspire the next generation of conservation leaders.

Yes, conservation should be the goal, not ideology. Neither side has the “moral high ground”. The moral high ground is with whoever is doing the work. Working with all parties to achieve a goal is what counts. There are as many thoughtful people on the left as there are on the right. But don’t forget those of us who are in the middle and don’t blindly subscribe to a “side”. There is real work to be done and I am as much a fan of the ACC as I am of the Sierra Club. The point is the work: the difficult work of negotiating the solution. All sides who can come together for a solution are who I am routing for. Vilifying one side or the other will never work. Working together, respecting each others point of view is what will ultimately work. I gave up idealism in the conservation arena when I saw that people on one side or the other were not listening to each other. Conservation is a huge effort. No one has all the answers. Learning to work together for a common purpose is what will get the job done. Kudos for the ACC in being willing to champion this effort!
